Sewing room

I got hung up on the story of hansel and gretel that I decided to just do a fun piece that I KNOW I would like. And what do ya know it wasn't such a struggle when it's something I wanted to do. LOL

The sketch came while doodling and thinking of my twins and all the fun things I want to make them. Then to my mother who always made my sisters and I clothes, costumes and toys. So I'm still working on it but here it is in process.

Hansel and the witch

Worked on the Hansel and Gretel story. This is the illustration that came of it. NOT my favorite but I learned a lot by doing it. Such as ALWAYS DO A SKETCH BEFORE. I thought I could just sketch it in photoshop but it didn't work for me and took way to long to complete!

New Illustration

Finished my new piece. I've decided to go with some classic stories to fill my portfolio with. This one is of course Red Riding Hood. Next I think I'll try Hansel and Gretel.

Going Digital

I've decided to go digital with my illustrations. It's faster and less messy than the traditional methods I previously used.

Unfinished image of 'sneaking' also done in photoshop.

Finished spreads

Here are two illustrations I finished before my wedding. Since speaking to my sister she's inspired me to pick up my paint brush and continue with the rest. Again this is all a huge process to complete my portfolio.... one day it will be ready to send out! Color is a bit off because it wasn't scanned. Instead I used my camera...
